Coaching

My coaching focus is to give clients the tools to thrive so they can empower themselves to make decisions based on their own unique values.

While coaching has been traditionally available only to those with resources, there has been an increase in use by nonprofits, health care and professional industries, and more recently, graduate student programs. However, these programs may not fit the needs of BIPOC learners since only 13% of all coaches in the United States are Hispanic or Latino and 9% are Black or African American.

I can help you with:

  • Creating work life balance
  • Living by your values
  • Saying no, setting boundaries
  • Asserting your power and voice
  • Distinguishing between meaningful work, and fulfilling work

I am one of the small but growing community of BIPOC coaches. Having graduated from one of the most rigorous coaching programs in the United States, The Co-Active Training Institute, I adhere to the coaching philosophy that every person is creative, resourceful, and whole and has the answers within themselves.

My ideal coaching client is a Black or Brown female identified person or group in reproductive justice, advocacy, and health. However, with the current political landscape, I have seen the clinical and advocacy community struggle with committing to a career that may not even be legally possible. This is where coaching would be ideal.

My experience navigating academic, non-profit, consulting, and international sectors, gives me the expertise to work with clients considering any type of transition.
